Figured I'd share my opinion that the mirror should be removed. I don't want to see reddit content, if I did I would just go to reddit myself. The mirror just clogs my feed and I'm not able to interact with the people posting anyways.
the last part is not true. after a certain hashrate, pools will be finding blocks far more frequently than miners can reach payout thresholds and the pools hashrate being larger doesnt provide any benefit.
p2pool is way past that point, with its other benefits I still see no reason to use a centralized pool when tools like gupax are easier than configuring xmrig yourself.
the reason so many miners use centralized pools is because of poor education and people not wanting to update their stuff. when you search "how to mine monero" you get outdated guides for centralized pools that often dont exist anymore.
try xmrig's '--randomx-1gb-pages' flag in gupax assuming its possible to add arguments
Arnt epycs like close to 1k each for 50kh/s at best? even on dual socket that'll be beat in value by a consumer 3900/3900x rig. 2 year roi without electricity, and you keep the parts. not too bad for a hobby.

I should note that the miner in the gui wallet isnt as fast as xmrig because it lacks huge pages, maybe you can point xmrig to the p2pool instance running in the gui? not too sure. you can try and figure that out if you want.
Also you might want to consider the main p2pool with your hashrate, should be fewer inputs to consolidate and save on fees.
try gupax from gupax.io, its a one click solution. highly recommend.
Try p2pool, I get several payouts a day with that hashrate. Bonus because theres no pool or transaction fees, and its better for the network.
Why is XMPP better? not that I dont believe you I just want to learn. From what I heard the XMPP server implementation is a lot faster, but the Matrix one is being rewritten in Rust I believe.

cash by mail, otherwise I was recommended cashapp because its pretty irreversible
if sellers decide to collaborate with government, but its a lot harder than established exchanges that keep records. if cash by mail then its not an issue.
