Is there an actual history of this sort of thing or is it only from Inglorious Basterds?

Things that take place over too long a period of time. Like heart disease, injustice, climate change, diabetes, addiction etc. We're evolved to prioritise short term pleasure over long term benefits, hence that cigarette, drink, line, burger is so difficult to say no to.

Currently have Pi4 4GB running emulation station quite well. Thinking of preordering 5 (4 or 8gb depending on advise from here) and getting into the Pi NAS game, should I swap them round or will I be happier with the 5 as the NAS?

For me it's is:

  • Final Fantasy 7 (sheer volume of classics, listen to it regularly)
  • Resident Evil 2 (PSX)
  • Tekken 3
  • Silent Hill 2
  • Spyro (come on, it's Stewart Copeland!)

I'm genuinely not being flippant but what's the point in not living? The things above have at least the potential to be changed, death is final and absolute, nevermind the possible consequences if it goes wrong. How did the year go before the major breakdown?

Kremlinology tripped me up way more than it should have.

Is this an American thing? Why would anyone be anti union (apart from the given example of getting a job)? Even the decimated unions of the UK are still thought to be fairly positive seeking for better rights. Genuinely asking.
