After the protagonist boarded the oil freighter which is actually Strength, they faced its Stand user, a giant monkey. It is highly intelligent and demonstrate human-like behaviours, such as smoking cigarettes, solving Rubik's cube and lusting over the young girl Anne while she's showering. It was a formidable foe as it is able to phase through the ship and even managed to restrain Jotaro. However, Jotaro managed to defeat it, after freeing himself by provoking it and extended his "Star Finger" to launch a coat button into its head.

CorrectionUm actually ... It was not a giant monkey It was an orangutan, which is technically an ape.

The "Titan injection" is a fluid speculated to be synthesized from Titan spinal fluids, appeared at several plot points. When injected, it converts anyone (without the Power of the Titans) into a Pure Titan. The syringe was introduced in fragments of Eren's memory, where Grisha injects him to pass him the power of the Attack Titan. Later, we see Rod Reiss attempt employ it to have Historia regain the Founding Titan from Eren. It was also used to save Armin who was mortally wounded, by turning him into a titan, then gaining the Colossus Titan. We also learnt much later that Marley uses it on convicted Eldians, turning them into Pure Titans to roam Paradis Island.

CorrectionUm actually ... The injection doesn't converts anyone into a Titan. It only affects Subjects of Ymir.

After Undead learnt about the curse of Izumo Fuuko and knowing that it would be useful in killing him, he brought her to his abandoned hospital hideout. There, he tested various aspects of the curse. However, he was interrupted when the organization infiltrated their base and ambushed him. The conflict ended when Fuuko kissed him and caused a lightning strike to zap both Undead and the assailant, defeating the foe.

CorrectionUm actually ... The kiss didn't cause a lightning strike. The lightning is caused by him cutting her hair.

The kiss caused a meteorite to obliterate the hideout.

The anime adaptation, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, follows similar story-beats as its source material and movie adaption. Scott first meets Ramona in his dreams, then goes to Julie's party, sees Ramona and tries to make small talks but fails. Later, he orders a package from amazon.ca to meet her again, where they agreed to a date. The date ended with them sleeping together. The plot diverges during the fight with Matthew Patel, where instead of beating Matthew like in the graphic novel and movie, he lost and (supposedly) died. Following that, it revolves around Ramona trying to ascertain Scott's where-about.

CorrectionUm actually ... Scott didn't use amazon.ca in the anime adaptation. He used Netflix instead.

In Balatro, you play various poker hands to score points. Apart from standard poker hands, there are some non-conventional ones which are not possible with a standard deck of cards. These are Five of a Kind, Flush House and Flush Five. Perhaps due to the amount of deck manipulation to achieve it, Flush Five boasts the highest base Chip and Mult, as well as the highest Chip scaling and Mult scaling of all the hands.

CorrectionUm actually ... While Flush Five does have the highest base Chips and Mults (160 Chips and 16 Mult), and Chips scaling, it does not have the highest Mult scaling.

It scales by +50 Chips and +3 Mult, but Straight Flush and Flush House scales by +40 Chips and +4 Mult.

On the last hand of poker against D'Arby, Jotaro refused to see his hand, nor exchange his cards. D'Arby was about to call Jotaro after he bet his remaining "soul chips", but Jotaro interrupts by also betting the souls of Kakyoin and Avdol. Right after hearing this raise of ante, in exchange for information about Dio's stand; D'Arby had a mental breakdown, causing him to admit defeat in his heart and lose the gamble.

CorrectionUm actually ... D'Arby didn't lose when Jotaro raised using their souls. He lost after Jotaro raises using his mother's soul.

The sequence of events is:

  1. Jotaro goes all in with his soul chips, together with Avdol's.
  2. D'Arby raises him 6 chips
  3. Jotaro calls him, wagering Kakyoin's soul using an IOU
  4. Jotaro further raises his mother, Holly's soul, in exchange for information about Dio's stand.

In Snowdin, we are introduced to the multicolor tile puzzle by Papyrus. Each colored tile has a different function, and have complicated interactions, as explained by Papyrus. If the player understands Papyrus' explanation, Papyrus will activate the puzzle, only for it to generate an extremely simple layout. If the player doesn't understand it, Papyrus will explain the puzzle again, only to fumble on the details. If the player insist in being confused, Papyrus won't activate the puzzle, allowing the user to skip it. In either situation, the complicated function and interaction of the tiles was completely insignificant to the player.

CorrectionUm actually ... The function of the tiles is significant to gameplay. In Hotland, after hearing Mettaton sing, we revisit the multicolor tile puzzle, but this time with an actual maze and a time limit. The player had to recall the function of the tiles to navigate and complete the maze.

"Hi! I like shorts! They're comfy and easy to wear!". Those are the famous words uttered by Youngster Joey in Generation I (though he was unnamed until Generation 3). You encounter him on Route 3, on the way to Mt. Moon. His team consists of a Rattata and an Ekans.

CorrectionUm actually ... Joey does not say those words. The quote is from Youngster Ben instead. Youngster Joey is the other famous Youngster, known for his endless praise of his Rattata in Generation II.

After our duo gets thrown into the Void, they encountered Chris Evans as the Human Torch. They were then captured and brought before Cassandra Nova, the twin sister of Charles Xavier. However, Deadpool betrayed the Human Torch by falsely accusing him of badmouthing her on the way there, incurring her anger and inciting her to tear the flesh off of his bones.

CorrectionUm actually ... Deadpool did not falsely accuse the Human Torch. In the post credit scene, we see that the Human Torch did, in fact, say those things.

In the future of the beta timeline, Mayuri adopted a war orphan, Kagari. When their time machine was discovered and attacked, Kagari was sent back in time with Suzuha. During Suzuha's mission, she lost Kagari. After Suzuha jumped forwards in time to continue her mission, she kept searching for Kagari. When Kagari was found, she was identified by the Metal Upa she has with her, a keepsake from Mayuri.

CorrectionUm actually ... Kagari didn't have a Metal Upa, it was the Green Fairy Upa.

The Mayuri got the Metal Upa from capsule machine, but it was misplaced and ended up together with the time travel thesis in this timeline in 2010.

The Green Fairy Upa was bought from the store in the beta timeline after Kurisu's death.

At the climax of fight against Pucci, many of our protagonists have died after he activated Made of Heaven, barring Emporio. He was brought over to the new universe, much to his confusion. To tie up loose ends, Pucci pursued Emporio in Green Dolphin Prison, ultimately ending up in the ghost room. There, Emporio assimilated Weather Report's stand disc, and used it to remove the oxygen in the room suffocating Pucci and finally killing him.

CorrectionUm actually ... Emporio didn't used Weather Report's stand to remove the oxygen in the room. He actually increased the oxygen level and killed Pucci by oxygen poisoning.

In the Okinawa chapter, the Peek a Boo diving club hosted their own Otoori, an Okinawa drinking custom. In their variant, everyone adds the liquor of their choice to a pot, then everyone drinks from the same pot. The liquor that was added includes a hearty dose of classic Spirytus by the club members, and Awamori by Kouhei and Iori. More ridiculously, laboratory ethyl ethanol was added by the chemistry major student.

CorrectionUm actually ... Ethyl ethanol (80%) was not added, because it would reduce the alcohol concentration of the pot, which was mainly 96% Spirytus.

Ah right. I think my correction wasn't clear. The point of contention is whether there is a single building with the GYM label. I've clarified the correction.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

I thought about that reasoning, but if we go through the dialogue by the boat, we see that neither did Fugo expresses leaving the team (he is only against going on a "suicide mission" against the boss), nor did Bucciarati excommunicated anyone for not embarking on the mission.

Yea, but the statement is specifically talking about stand names.

what you wrote didn’t say that the first gym you encounter is Brock

It's a bit complex of a construction for the correction.

My idea was that it is a composite of 2 statements which makes it factually incorrect.

the player tackles the Gyms in the order they encounter them

starts with beating Brock

These statements together, implies that the first gym encountered is Brock.

But point taken, not sure why I didn't just say that the first gym encountered was Brock's. It feels a bit round-about now that I think about it. I've improve the OP accordingly, thanks for the feedback.

What's wrong with it?

I heard that a large swath of people were advocating for spreading out activity across instances, rather than bandwagon-ing on lemmy.world.

Is there some issues with lemm.ee specifically? I selected it arbitrarily based on reliability and popularity.

EDIT: ahhh... I see it now....
