The video game stuff is meant to be an abstraction for a human audience, rather than directly showing what Trisolaris is up to. They're demonstrating that the computer is "useless" in preventing calamity, any other utility is irrelevant so they'd have had no reason to bring it up.

Human authorities discover the Trisolarans via the ETO before the Trisolarans announce themselves. I guess at that point in the story the general public isn't aware but governments already are.

They are traveling at 1% light speed in the show! In the books, they were already reaching 10% light speed at that point.

Technically their whole journey is at 1% light speed in the books, accounting for acceleration and deceleration - they take ~400 years to go 4 light years. I guess the show just couldn't be bothered to explain the mechanics of it.

China tried that shit under better conditions and failed; the west couldn't succeed where they didn't.

Needed to have happened years ago before mutations.

Shame we didn't do lockdowns seriously when they could've stopped covid entirely. I don't think they'd even work now with strains as infectious as they are currently.

I feel like for whatver reason places like Reddit, and then by extension offshoots like Hexbear, skew overwhelming AMAB, both cis and trans.

I think there's something in the psyche of mods that make them feel like they have to moderate. Seems to me the obvious answer is to just avoid/ignore weird but not harmful posts. I don't agree with the pro-magic crowd but they're not hurting anybody.

The most shocking result of this poll is that we still have have like 400 active users.
