Yes, this is the first I've heard of a second one and it's the best news I've heard all day. I loved the first game and have been hoping to find something like it on the switch. It's just good, cute fun!
Man it's wild to me how hard people hate on kids having areas to play. I live near an empty lot that used to be a pool and the city wanted to turn it into a skate park. There's some old grump with a homemade sign slung over their fence with "WE DON'T WANT A SKATE PARK" scrawled on it like?? Come on, give the local kids a safe place to play that isn't a parking lot. I'm for it and I don't even have kids!

I'm pretty new too, and I don't like it either. It's nothing different from the main race. It's just shorter. If they did something like flip the grid (or just the first 10 cars) that might make it more fun but as it is, I agree that it makes the main GP feel less special.
I did some light sleuthing and it's apparently real. Though this is from an old Reddit post so who knows.
