i imagine that you can't just never turn on windows? like boot from usb on first boot and wipe that thing off.

ah yes sorry i meant copy to system clipboard.

i succeed in configuring vim so it uses the system clipboard on both local and remote sessions.

i would like to do the same with tmux, but as you said too, it does not seem to be a way.

to manage passwords, use bitwarden

is not tied to any browser, it sync between devices and it's free.

there are clients for Android and desktop, most likely ios too.

for support you need to contact the admin of your instance. there is no 'lemmy support'.

also, don't use 2FA, idk if it got better but there was a time where a lot of people lost their account because the instance glitched and 2FA was reset.

just use a bitwarden generated password ~20 chars and it is ok.

another advice, if you messed up an account, create another and leave the older. i don't think the admins have the tooling to restore 2FA or reset your password.

i've never heard of a functionality like that.

maybe the instance where the community is located is a bit overloaded? or maybe is a front end thing

none of them.

i've heard that jerboa is from the same devs as lemmy, if that is 'official' for you.

i personally use sync, but just because i've used it for reddit and i like the interface.
