This is one of our group's favorites! They also have betrayal at Baldur's Gate which is a D&D flavored take on the game.

I recommend spirit island, it might be a little higher than mid difficulty but I really enjoy it. It's co-op and if you get tired of the core game, there are lots of expansions that change features

I'm unsure if OP edited their post or where you got their opinion, but the post was a decent read. I wish games were treated as an art form instead of just a business. Good storytelling in games seems few and far between.
