Yeah the only game I've been excited for was Suzerian's DLC but I haven't played it yet. Ever since I got sober I spend so much less time gaming

I like the classic from /r/stims that was like "Why does meth turn me into a communist?" or something

Youtube tutorials are super helpful. Depending on what the software is and how much time you have, you can get a free trial for either Udemy or O'Reilly learning. O'Reilly (paired with a firefox plugin thqt lets you download the books as an epub) was how I got my most recent job.

Told them I have a vast experience with SQL, reports, PowerBI and Python for Data Analysis. Kinda a half-truth. I've done reporting through Salesforce, visualization through excel and Python for simple scripts lol. I just spent a good amount of time the last few months going a bit more in depth learning SQL and Tableau to the point where I could mix that knowledge with what I had actually done at a previous job.

So yeah I guess in the interview just talk about it in more broad terms while peppering in any details that you learn about the specific software.

A few Trump ones:

"California is going to have to ration water. You know why? Because they send millions of gallons of water out to sea, out to the Pacific, because they want to take care of certain little tiny fish that aren't doing very well without water, to be honest with you"

"I want to thank the White House Historical Association and all of the people that work so hard with Melania, with everybody, to keep this incredible house or building, or whatever you want to call it — because there really is no name for it; it is special — and we keep it in tip-top shape. We call it sometimes tippy-top shape."

When I had a paid chess account I just used the International flag. Had some funny interactions with people thinking I was a Russian or Chinese trying to hide my identity.

Al-Qaeda say they have taken out the World Trade Center towers, but it was actually the planes that did it.

My wife and I were at a used bookstore recently and saw this book: The Coming Collapse of China

We were both making fun of it while browsing it but then we saw that it was published in 2001 and just died laughing.

I've been unemployed since November and the job hunting process is absolutely insane. One of the places I'm currently interviewing for is a position I applied to at the start January and it just sums up my experience so far, albeit a bit more on the ridiculous side.

Two weeks to hear back after applying and schedule first interview, an HR screening, which was then scheduled a week after that email. Then they needed a week and a half to let me know if I was going to the second round technical interview. After the second round I had to wait another two weeks for them to schedule the third 'company culture' interview, which I recently had and hopefully will know something before this month is over.

But fucking hell three rounds over two months for a relatively entry level position? When I was last in the job hunt, in 2018, I'd sometimes do three rounds in a week and a half. And those were for more senior positions than I'm applying to now.

Idk shit's fucked. I still have a few months of unemployment and I haven't had to dip into my small amount of savings yet. But I am constantly feeling the judgement from my family and mother-in-law for spending time unemployed/not finding a job yet.
