Sure, but the good is that this is the only company doing it. Also my Galaxy Nexus received a big kernel update from people at xda developers, but was by chance and good will of the people involved. Here they did it because they kept up the commercial promise behind the product they sell, something that basically no other company in this sector does (or they do, but with very short term promises).

Actually in the past they updated their software even past the support from qualcomm, rewriting by themselves what was needed to allow and old chipset to run newer android version

One thing that I don't understand is: if they have a day one patch ready, why leave it as a patch and not directly integrate it in the game before launch?

Dopo questo primo passaggio, controllo su xda developers se e come si può sbloccare il bootloader e quante e quali rom esistono per quel determinato modello (soprattutto se ci sono maintainer ufficiali di rom serie, come lineage o crdroid, in modo da avere qualche certezza in più di ricevere aggiornamenti)

Infine, dopo aver puntato un modello specifico, per l'acquisto controllo su backmarket per il ricondizionato o su subito per l'usato, e procedo sulla migliore offerta.

Dopo 5 anni di Nexus 5X, che ho cambiato perché a causa della sempre maggiore pesantezza delle app era diventato troppo lento (nonostante lo avessi portato ad ottimo android 10 molto più fluido dell'android 8 ufficiale), seguendo questo processo ho comprato un POCO F2 ricondizionato su backmarket.

Se non sbaglio riseup ha base in USA, uno dei peggiori paesi al mondo per quanto riguarda la garanzia di privacy. Se le autorità gli chiedono accesso ai dati, non credo possano fare molto per opporsi, e quindi viene meno l'anonimato e la privacy di chi usa i loro servizi
