The problem is this automatic litter box was bought from Amazon, which was being resold from Aliexpress. People have some level of trust in Amazon. Misplaced trust I would say, as it becomes littered with sketchy 3rd party sellers who have no responsibility to their customers.

On the enterprise side, we use McAfee/Trellix and we’re pretty much glued to them for endpoint security. Why? Nobody else allows you to write custom YARA rules straight to the IPS engine like Trellix does.

Every other vendor only allows you to use rules they have defined for you and doesn’t give you that low level access. It’s frustrating because their support is dogshit too, but my company has niched itself into a corner.

BYD also owns the entire supply chain, from lithium mines to battery manufacturing to car assembly to sales. Nobody else can do that right now.

And China has the overwhelming advantage in lithium supply to the rest of the world.

IIRC it’s not R&D that is the main cost of EVs these days, but the cost of the batteries themselves is still absurdly high. It’s down to $139/kWh as of Nov 2023, but keep that in perspective of an EV: a 72 kWh battery is $10k in raw material costs alone. I think I remember seeing a quote that affordable EVs (unsubsidized) can’t become a realistic goal until lithium prices break the $100 threshold.

From the article:

WBD also will be exploring options for Rooster Teeth’s catalog content and IP such as Red vs Blue, RWBY and Gen:LOCK.

Looks like they’ll either retain or sell the IP.

Agreed, we’re about half a year and halfway through Abomination Vaults right now. Using PF2e with Foundry VTT has been amazing, especially with all the built-in automation.

The thing I like most about Pathfinder is how well documented their rules are. 5e had a bunch of hand wavy DM-fiat rules, while PF2e typically has a rule for almost everything.

It’s almost as if nuanced discussion is discouraged on platforms like this.

I still think one of the craziest examples of multiplatform streaming being required is from Pokemon. They have a whole guide on how to watch every season:

Edit: oh, and this is AFTER the death of Pokemon TV, their own streaming service lol.

HPE does not get any ink money, that went with HP Inc. HPE only operates in enterprise spaces (servers and network hardware).

Agreed, we’ve been playing AV and secret checks have been great. Using a recall knowledge check and crit failing is fun, because you get fake information and have to work with that knowledge.

I’m honestly looking at getting Lasik just so I never have to deal with cleaning glasses so often.

I wouldn’t recommend that if you have any special coatings on the lenses. Basically anything but microfiber cloths will scratch the coating.

Nuclear is a good middle step to full renewable, it’s not the end goal. There’s not enough storage capacity right now for energy usage at night, which is where nuclear can fill the gap until efficient energy storage can be achieved.
