You know all those mysterious random pains you've felt across your body all your life which immediately go away or sometimes happen again at seemingly random?

It's just the happy little microplastics clumping together a bit more than usual and triggering your nerve system :D

Naraka Blade Point (lemmy.fmhy.ml)

So, I wanted to ask the community what they think about this game? I tried the demo years ago back when it first debuted on steam, I thought it was alright, I’m not really a big fan of battle royal type games but I thought this one was fairly unique and executed decently enough.

However now years later as it goes free to play to support its falling playerbase, I was thinking about picking it up until I saw reviews talking about the game asking to disable windows protections & being Chinese spyware?

In-fact after searching up more on the topic I found a r**dit post showing that if you download the game from Naraka Bladepoint’s own website it comes pre-packed with a trojan that injects ads & trackers into your browsers!

Then I saw people saying that there’s a sizable cheater problem as well…

So now I’m not too sure, I’d rather not give yet another company a chance to collect all my data and add trojans to my pc…

Thats ultimately the goal of everyone, no?

But something like that reality is not coming any time soon for the vast majority of the world population, even if ai becomes sentient & benevolent, the third world will be waiting decades for any kind of meaningful automation of their jobs happens.

Hopefully in a distant future where Super intelligent Ai does literally everything human life doesnt become meaningless and pointless, without struggle, nor a reason to live or strive towards anything besides what the individual can come up with for themselves, no matter how futile it is in a future dominated in every aspect by ai 100000x's smarter than themselves.

An issue with things in general these days is them being super over-hyped, lol.

Exactly, everyone's goal is to 'be the best at X' so saying that LLaMA wants to usurp GPT-4's dominance is just stating the obvious.

I'm more worried about them doing everything that humans actually like to do as a job- like painting, voice acting, creative exploits ect.

That'd put a lot of people out of a job and simultaneously take some of the most 'fun' things to do for a living.

Well, Gold actually has uses in industry and is an actual tangible thing that people like- but I understand your point.

and yes, I know going back to a barter economy is basically impossible without something like an apocalyptic crash of society & civilization in general.

Not saying we'd be better on the gold standard, but fiat currency is literally worthless meaningless paper that has no tangible value.

I wish we could go back to barter n trade, to before currency was invented tbh.

Most countries in the world's entire electrical grid wouldn't be able to handle a full ev-ification of the nation's cars as is- let alone replacing every single one of those cars with chargers that suck enough energy to charge 3~ of the normal modern ev's range (250mi~) in 10 minutes (2x faster than the fastest modern evs) at once.

It would be taking a problem we already don't have infrastructure to solve yet- and tripling it.

So what happened in the 1970s?

[-] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

I dont support Pcgamer, so I wont be looking but I'd like to add Vermintide 2 if it's not on the list.

Terraria is also likewise 10x better with friends.

But... Baldur's gate and Starfield are completely different games that dont really appeal to the same audience? I dont really see the comparison here besides they both have rpg elements... which is like 8/10 games these days.
