I'm not sure if there's a term for it, but you can repeat a progression without resolving the chords to build tension. It might be a suitable effect and help with finishing it.

Let's take advantage of threading: post the tool up top, and any stuff for it goes in a reply. Keeps things tidy. Or creates chaos. One way to find out!

 

I realized it's been almost a year since I posted any music to Bandcamp, so here's a nice single. Is it chiptunes? Is it DnB? The world may never know. Free/pay what you want.

Being able to create new threads with an @ could get out of hand, but it's also useful

Arturia synths helpfully choose a random preset when loaded, so I didn't have to do anything there. I switched from quiet mode to performance later on to go really wild with voices. This is with a i7-12700H. The fact that I had to contrive an absurd scenario to push it tells me any modern CPU can handle music production just fine.
