πŸ’€ Source for them giving private emails to governments ?? Your emails are E2EE they don't have the ability to decrypt them when you hold the keys. The most they did AFAIK is IP log a user because they had to comply with swiss law. Their VPN has no logs & has been audited

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

Yes it's pretty useful, hopefully more people follow it soon :)

As others have said you are likely to find it on sites listed on our wiki, do note that these will most likely be CAM copies since the digital release will only happen next tuesday(18th).

edit: Seems the rumors of July 18th release was wrong :/ and it will only release early august source: https://www.digitalspy.com/movies/a44035174/across-the-spiderverse-streaming-watch-online/

What is Calckey?

Calckey is a fork of the Japanese software Misskey, which uses the ActivityPub standard and is a part of the fediverse. Calckey is feature rich, customizable & even supports migrating from mastodon to calckey.

Why?

After the vulnerability in Lemmy was discovered and we temporarily went down to protect our users, there was no warning announcement or post for updates which left a lot of users confused. To prevent future miscommunication some of you suggested we create a mastodon account or something similar for updates. So we went ahead and created a Calckey account.

How do I follow?

You can follow us from any public calckey instance(very.bignutty.xyz is private) or even mastodon! Just search @[email protected]

P.S We chose Calckey over Mastodon because it has better UI, it's light on resources & has a lot of customization features.

A true hero o7

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

Yeah instances that post illegal content and bot instances would probably be on a default blocklist.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

I'm really hoping that lemmy implements blocklists like mastodon so users can block instances themselves soon.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago (3 children)

We want to use defederation as a last resort and hopefully when users are able to block instances themselves we'll be able to use it even less frequently. I dislike defederation personally as well, and like Nbats stated here, if the community's opinion of those two instances change and the instances themselves make their communities safer we'll refed.

Lmfao you're our local celeb now huh

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Well yes and no, it truly depends on your location and ISP.

I'm looking for this course, you a legend if you able to find this.

Okay so as far as I know, english subtitles do not exist online for Grachi, the show itself doesn't exist on basically every popular public tracker and on streaming sites.

I even had usenet checked by a friend and couldn't find it. However I happened to find it on private youtube playlists ripped from Paramount+ in 1080p the issue is that there aren't any english subtitles and auto generated captions are horrible.

If anyone has subtitles for it I'll be eternally grateful :)

Lemmy.fmhy.ml FAQ (lemmy.fmhy.ml)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

Q: What is Lemmy?

A: Lemmy is a self-hosted FOSS Reddit alternative that is a part of the "Fediverse". Lemmy gives us the freedom & full control over our community, unlike Reddit.

Q: What is the Fediverse?

A: Think of email - no matter which email provider you use, you are still able to seamlessly communicate with others who don't share the same provider. The Fediverse (or β€œFedi”) is basically the same concept, but for social media. The Fediverse is a collection of thousands of independent social media servers that communicate with each other seamlessly. This means that the millions of users on these servers can interact with each other as if they were on a single social network.

Q: What is the point of this Lemmy instance?

A: This Lemmy instance was created to provide a home for those migrating from Reddit, it's a general lemmy instance that welcomes (almost) everything including piracy and NSFW.

Q: How do I join?

A:

  1. Register an account on https://lemmy.fmhy.ml/signup
  2. Login, and then join communities!

You may create an account on any of the instances we federate with, and interact with our instance and communities. The list of the servers we currently federate with: https://lemmy.fmhy.ml/instances

Q: I'm new to this and I'm still very confused about all this where can I learn more?

A: You can find a collection of beginner's guides here.

Q: How do I make a community on FMHY's instance?

A: Just click create communiity and follow the basic setup.

Q: Why is my feed empty? How do I see other communities from other instances?

A: Communities will only show in β€˜All’ of you instance if someone in that instance has searched and subscribed to it. Try to visit other instances and search their interesting communities on your own instance so there is a better federation among all instances.

Subscribing to as many communities as you can would help grow your instance much better.

FAQs

Q: Are we allowed to post here?

A: Yes, unlike Reddit where posting has always been off to keep the chances of the sub surviving as high as possible, here you may discuss & post freely as long as you follow our rules.

Q: I'm new, where do I find the FMHY wiki?

A: You can access the wiki via our website or from one of the mirrors in backups.

Q: Are the sites here safe to use?

A: Yes, we always scan files and research sites to ensure their safety before adding them. We also listen to the community, so if there's something you feel needs to be addressed, you're more than welcome to contact us. You can also find all the sites/software we've listed as unsafe here.

Q: What is Divolt?

A: You can read about it here.

Q: How can I contact you?

A: The best way to contact us is to join us on Divolt, where you can submit links, get help, or suggest changes to the wiki. You may also DM a community moderator or instance admin.

Q: How do I search the FMHY wiki?

A: You can find all the ways to search the wiki here.

A: Absolutely. This project was made by and belongs to the community, so we allow anyone to suggest changes via pull requests. We want this project to be as organized and useful as possible, so if you feel like you can help improve it, please do.

Q: Can I get an offline copy of the wiki?

A: The raw markdown files can all be downloaded from the backups page. The formatting should work on any sites or apps that support markdown.

Q: How do I view encoded links?

A: You can use any base64 decoding site or extension.

Q: Can I donate?

A: We appreciate that people want to support us by donating, but the reason we maintain this project is because it's fun and it's our desire to help others, not to make money. We never have and never will accept donations.
