The snake (of the trouser variety) tempts Eve with the forbidden fruit (hanky panky) that she shares with Adam. The consequence of which is painful childbirth.

They're even specifically stated to be naked for this situation.

There are so many examples of small businesses being screwed by policies that large companies can so easily absorb, and so many of the small business owners blame the policy instead of realizing this system will always favor whoever has the most capital. Without exception.

That's not misinformation. That's just unfortunate and an indictment of our current elections system.

I don't think you're saying anything contrary but I wanted to make one point clear.

The democracy we live under is not unique to capitalism. In fact, our current system has less democracy than an anarchist system would. Also capitalism doesn't have any requirement to be democratic. Whereas with anarchism, any dictatorship is directly against the core tenets of the system.

That being said, (I have not read enough theory to know for sure but) anarchism doesn't necessarily preclude the idea of having managers or even CEO's. It does preclude those positions having total power and control of an enterprise though. Dismantling the hierarchical structure of modern society doesn't mean having someone be a coordinator of a larger group isn't helpful. It just means that job isn't given greater power or more significance than those being coordinated. Our current idea of a CEO is very dictatorial, but that's not how it has to be.

I'm an adult considering a change of career. I have no relevant education or experience. I'm at least an hour away from anywhere that could be considered a major city and would not like to move. My only requirements are that I am actively helping our ecosystem thrive and I'm not dirt poor. What's a position I could reasonably obtain?

My college roommate had this little box that had 2 controllers and RCA'd into the TV that contained basically every game from the most important retro consoles. All the important consoles and games pre y2k. Including Nintendo, Atari, Sega, and maybe some arcade. I assume I can't get it through normal channels because of some of those roms are unsanctioned, but where might I get something like that? Thanks!

I don't have a story in particular, but any time there's any critique directed towards my boss he will make up some excuse for his actions. It seems like he takes any critique as a personal attack and obviously the critic in question is the problem while refusing to address the substance of said critique. Makes it impossible for any improvement to occur and is very exhausting.

You may have to click some of the toots to see replies I made that weren't directly replied to

Edit: I just clicked the link and it looks so different in browser. I'm talking about my "discussion" with the enlightened truth sandwich

Please crack down on rolling coal in general. If you were to put it in the context of the shopping cart theory, it would be shoving your cart directly into someone else's car.

When I lie, it's most often a lie of omission. Are you more of a falsehood teller? Or do you lie out of ignorance? Or is there a particular subject you're likely to lie about? Or a person who you tell most of your lies to?

Do you always tell the truth? If yes what type of lie was that?

Hey, if AOC is the new center I think that's progress. As long as we can continue to elect people further to the left we'll be able to continue to shift the party to a better place.

No one has enough money to live anymore. This isn't a problem of people being reckless, they're using credit because there isn't enough money coming in to pay for everything.
