Just saw a post about this on TikTok and every one in the comments where cracking jokes and basically saying it was good she died. Couldn't believe it. Whether or not you agree with how she ran YouTube, there's no reason to be so cruel to a parent who died just after having to bury their own child. Glad Lemmy is being more thoughtful and respectful about this horrible situation.

Good night.
Around 2017 I spent three days on and off trying to diagnose why my laptop running elementary OS had no wifi support. I reinstalled the wifi drivers and everything countless times. It worked for many days initially then just didn't one day when I got on the laptop. Turns out I had accidentally flipped the wifi toggle switch while it was in my bag. I forgot the laptop had one. Womp womp.
Skate fan here, why are we included? Skate 3 may be the one most of the community plays, but I think most skate fans agree one and especially two are good games in their own right. In my opinion skate 2 is just a more stylish version of skate 3 really.
There are three things holding me back from making the switch full time, I use a stream deck from Elgato for automating a lot of tasks, I stream VR titles from Steam, and I have an Nvidia graphics card.
I feel like this group of people are the kind that would already be on Linux though. If you're that anti Microsoft why be on any version of Windows when such a great suitable replacement that also still works on these older systems exists?
Used to be a big Nova user, but since I found Niagra I've never gone back. It's just way too clean and simple. It drastically reduces the amount of time I spend opening apps on my phone and I don't have to think about how to do the optimal home screen layout or set up app drawer categories.
The best part of this meme is the shoddy watermark coverup job!
For me right now, Shadows of Doubt. It is an early access game and it's got a fair bit of jank, but it's crazy how unique it is. It had a week or so of popularity and then it fell off. The devs just released an update for it too!
If you like the immersive sim genre, might I also recommend Cruelty Squad and Gloomwood. Those two have very unique aesthetics and really cool mechanics.
Really hoping for a new Legends game. Legends Arceus was the first pokemon game I felt the desire to finish in ten years. It was so unique and interesting. It was very very very rough around the edges, but here's to hoping that the smaller scope could make a game that's more polished than Scarlet and Violet and maybe a bit prettier too.
Honestly at this point I almost feel like the only way a Pokemon game with decent graphics could release is if Gamefreak outsources the development.
That's seems pretty likely. It really rubs me the wrong way that they specifically name drop Mastodon in the sign up page for Threads. It definitely seems like a way to avoid being held accountable for having a monopoly.
Have Eclipse on my list up next after I finish up Astro Bot. Happy to see it getting good reviews!
