It’s one of the most confusing things about Western leftists. Aren’t most of the working class religious? You’re only isolating yourself further from them and continuing to keep leftism as almost exclusively academic with most leftists coming out of college campuses than workplaces.

Richard Medhurst is a cooler version of Hasan with a better understanding of geopolitics. He gives no fucks about optics for liberals and NATO leftists.
I do wish Hasan went more in depth with MENA coverage because him being Turkish and familiar with their politics adds a unique perspective that you don’t get often in the west. I guess he’s sort of doing that now with the Israel-Palestine war coverage.
Sometimes I feel dumb for being so technologically illiterate with tech past 2010 that isn’t car related. Makes me realize how much of a farm boy I am. People on this site seem a lot more tech savvy.

I always wonder who would be gullible and stupid enough to hear the empty pledges without looking deeper into the actions taken before, during, and after making them? Who would see “Russia and China block ceasefire” and just repeat that line to own the tankies without looking further into their reasoning.
That’s when you meet people like the poster of that meme and everyone agreeing. You can argue damn near anything and they’ll find some way to convince themselves they’re in the right. And these are supposedly educated people with degrees.

It’s one thing to be an America worshipper when your country does have a lower standard of living and weaker economy, but it’s another when your country is the largest economy with the standard of living continuing to increase.
