(Not US). I was burnt by Sony's Mini disc DRM BS, so when iTunes came along I recognised the slimy DRM and steered well clear so much so I have never owned an apple device much less bought music from them.

Definitely tetchy. Maybe he should go to his Rwanda safespace to calm down.

Sooo a bunch of the biggest shipping company's are complaining about antitrust rules..

When people voted for Brexit on the grounds of restoring the country's sovereignty, I very much doubt that they had in mind it being used to benefit nine vast shipping lines.

If they manage to sway the current government it will not be in the favour of the general consumer. It will result in a cartel if not an actual monopoly on shipping and with it direct price control.

It would be myopic to concede to their requests.

Clarification after I followed the link: the record was for consecutive pogo jumps, not the heart rate.

Once it is clearly proven you can work remotely, a commute to the office should be viewed as a site visit with the travel time being on the clock and travel costs reimbursed. If they do that, then yeah sure I'll listen to podcasts for an hour a day, anything else should be looked at as the pay cut it actually is. ((Travel time x hourly wage)+travel costs).

The other thing in that article is that the filter doesn't really filter anything of note, meaning the litter is actually just the result of a con make smokers think it was less damaging to their health..

Colour change
The tobacco industry determined that the illusion of filtration was more important than filtration itself. The pH of the cellulose acetate used is modified, so that its colour becomes darker when exposed to smoke. The industry wanted filters to be seen as effective for marketing reasons, despite not making cigarettes any less unhealthy.
