As interesting as that would be to happen, in reality, there's just going to be a bunch more people going without pre natal care.

Is that what the bristlenose is refering to? In some write ups, it seems that it indeed refers to those, but in others it just seems like the bristlenose just refers in general to the feelers they have on their faces.

Cheek spines got the most pictures appear of it, in a search.

Good on you for keeping him!

I have one of these. He's awesome at keeping my tank clean. My SO hates him, but I think he's great, except...

Have you seen his...idk what to call them, Cheek spines? Fully out yet? It looks like he grew an alien sea anemone from the sides of his mouth. I've only seen them once in something like 10 years. I thought something was wrong with him.

Awesome little guy, thanks for sharing.

This is fair. You guys tried it out, within a certain context. When it didn't feel right yall moved on. There's nothing wrong with trying new things, and there's nothing wrong with using this concept to be kinky. Spice up your life, I say. And, good on you for not wanting to role model that for your daughters!

I feel like what's going on here is more than just a kink, though. I can see how what these women are doing could be construed as a kink, but that seems superficial and kinda dangerous. These women aren't just saying "Yes, Master" when their husband's tell them to bend over and pick up that spoon they've dropped, wearing some maid outfit in a xxx rated 50 Shades of Grey fantasy. They're advocating for compete and total control, by their husbands, over their everyday lives, from a religious standpoint. Not going out at night, having trackers on their phones, and controlling who their friends are, are also some of the things the videos of those women in the article listed.

Yeah, the article is about how it's giving young men the wrong idea about relationships, comparing it to how porn gives them the wrong idea about sex. But, at the end of the day, I think its a poor analogy. Its not just about lonely guys having unreasonable expectations of a wifes role in (and out, in this case ;) of the bedroom. The message here is that women should all love not being treated as equals, in any regard, and their only role is to cater to a man's every whim, because thats what the Bible says. Not just whims sexual in nature, but in every aspect of life. If a large amount of men come to expect every woman should act like this...well, just ask women in Iran or Afghanistan how that's going.

In my doomer brain...

It's just a preview of what's to come if the far right takes over, for every woman that is unfortunate to come across a man that is all in.

They'll reverse no fault marriage, and then when you marry the guy (either because the guy pulls a bait and switch, or you don't really understand what your agreeing too until after the fact) you either comply or get beat into submission, with no way out, while you pop out babies

This is a handbook, not a fad.

I'm sure I'm wrong and it's a bunch of women that don't want to work...but if it's not, it could turn into some scary shit.

Stay at home mom is one thing, but was she subservient and obedient?

There's a difference between a woman staying at home to raise kids because it makes financial sense, and what these women are peddling.

im guess im assuming you live in the us, but you might want to double check that.

Tobacco sales to anyone under the age of 21 has been federally illegal since 2021.

So, I wore a mask for my protection and for the protection of others. And I maybe tooting my own horn, but I feel like others only did so because I was so fervent.

I had been following the situation in China starting in the last couple weeks of December. I dunno if those videos at the beginning were real or not, but I didn't see many people refuting them, source wise. The videos of when they started welding people into their Apts, and dissapearing the citizen journalists that had taken video of inside the hospitals had me on edge. When the videos started comming out of south korea and iran, and the first cases started popping up in california, I started making preparations. By the time it really hit europe and new york started getting bad, I was as prepared as I could be, considering the circumstances. I made sure family members had gone to get n95 masks from home depot, and were loaded up on hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes, before they sold out, but, in my opinion, they only did it so I would stop hounding them.

I was considered an essential worker, and the industry I worked for ran through lock down. The majority of the people in my office would continue to go to meetings, internal and external. Only me, and one other person (i think) took it seriously. I live in a deep red state and even the company owners were pretty skeptical of the whole situation. I think i was lucky the owners came from california (so they were used to being a little more sensitive to other people's beliefs) and were educated enough to not completely blow it off. Company covid policy was enacted. It was reasonable and was actually pretty strict if you got sick, but I honestly think that the only reason people in the office put on their masks as much as they did, was because they didn't want to hear me complain when they went to clear their throat.

I continued to wear my mask for almost a full year after the mandates ended, due to temporary health issues, everyone else dropped them at the first chance they got. I still carry a mask with me, just in case I need it, though. I'm not the only one that deserves consideration, and if I wander into a place where someone needs protection from me, I am prepared to give it.

So how many people wore a mask because of fear of repercussions? Im going with 97%... although it does occur to me that I'm still writing this, mostly, from the same self oriented view as all the rest of those people that wore masks out of fear.
