Our federation issues have been fixed after upgrading to 0.19.2

0.19.x seems to be a bit more resource intensive, which is causing occasional downtime on our small instance. But as far as I can tell this has not been impacting federation.

Would appreciate if anyone could guarantee our instance https://lemmy.best

It's a small instance with only a handful of users. Manual account approval is required for new users, and we don't plan to ever grow beyond what can be easily moderated by one admin.

Instance is focused mostly on silly memes and creating curated lists of only the (subjectively) "best" content.

Not mine. I struggled to find the author for a while, partly because it was signed with a deadname.
But I finally found the artist, though they have this to say about the comic: https://daisyfinch.com/post/650208887277027328/where-can-i-find-your-ancient-doug-funny-skeeter

Hi. Sorry the lemmy.best instance has been having some issues with federation ever since upgrading to version 0.19.0-rc.3
So many of these posts haven't been reaching the other instances and a wider audience.

Hopefully we can find a fix for the issue soon.

There appears to still be some issues with federation.
We are receiving federated messages no problem. But local posts aren't always federating out properly.

Obviously, it's the best™

The people are wrong, this is important. Overruled.

Love the Technology Connections references. Not at all surprising they'd have overlapping audiences.

Climate Town just keeps getting better. Rollie nails that perfect mix of humor, well researched educational content, high effort production value, cynicism, yet always ending with just enough optimism and call to action to at least keep you from falling into complete hopeless apathy for our future.

I believe this may be fixed by https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/pull/2074, but there has not been a new release of lemmy-ui yet since that was merged in.

Is he? I didn't even know he was sick.

Yikes, that sucks.
