The problem with support Wisp/support frames in general is that if you're already going into endgame content, you can usually expect your team's kits to already be sufficient for that content. You can increase their survivability further by making use of shock motes to stun enemies and rad procs but this typically just slows down missions (especially the shock motes in defense missions) if they're used in situations where they aren't really needed, and can cause issues with builds that make use of enemies clumping together like if you're trying to make use of Gas/Blast or have a Harrow in the squad trying to buff with Covenant. Rad procs from breach surge usually aren't as much of an issue though.

Breach Surge is a lot less useful now that enemies are often protected by overguard, ignoring the blind effect and being immune to the CC effects of Radiation procs, I think they might even be immune to friendly fire too (they aren't targetted, and I think they're immune enemy AOE attacks like a Bombard's rockets). You can still try to make use of it though, there's only so many enemies that can attack at the same time so you can still reduce the number of enemies attacking your team/the objective at the same time.

Pillage/Fire Walker for status cleanse; Pillage gives you Armor Strip at the same time while Fire Walker gives to a movement speed boost for memes. Your team still needs to walk through the flames though but it's a more passive in its use versus Pillage which requires you to cast every time you want to use it. With Overguard being on everything now, status cleansing is a lot less useful, but it was still nice to have for Sorties.

I think you're much better off modding to specialize for your loadout and letting your team pick up the buffs passively instead of trying to directly buff your team.

You're also at the point where you can start working on your operator. You want to enter the Plains of Eidolon at night (Set match making to solo to avoid randomly getting put into a public Eidolon/Tridolon hunt), and you can kill Vomvalysts for their cores, and find Cetus Wisps which spawn near pools of water and appear on your map as an item icon. They can also be given as a Cetus Bounty Reward if you don't want to do laps around the map, and you'll get other useful rewards from doing bounties. Probably best to stick to the lower level ones, nothing prevents you from accidently selecting a mission with enemies above your level range.

Find the Quills in Cetus to trade in the cores for standing to rank up their syndicate and purchase the parts for your first amp. Anything is better than the mote amp, but the first amp you will make will probably use the Raplak Prism, Pencha Scaffold and the Clapkra Brace. Most of the resources needed to craft these components are found on the Plains of Eidolon by fishing/mining. Amps crafted this way are modular items and will require you to take the crafted components back to Onkko to assemble them. Amps can be leveled to 30, and then brought back to Onkko to be guilded. This lets you name your amp, colour it, and put arcanes into it (not relevant for your current progression but does become important later on). To change your amp, go to your orbiter* Pause > Equipment > Operator > Equipment, and you should see the option to equipt another amp. *Should also be able to do this from any of the open world hubs, not an option in relays.

If you talk to Konzu at night, you will see the Eidolon Bounties available. At your current level it is probably best to avoid them. The first Eidolon will be doable in a squad but I still think think it's probably too early for you've currently progressed. It is a good source of items to trade for standing with the Quills though.

If you're having trouble finding them, you should be able to fast travel there from the pause menu. You will see a stone door there, use operator mode to enter it. If you don't have the option to fast travel there, you want to start from the gates and hug the left wall and go up a staircase until you find a stone wall, and use operator mode to enter it.

Warframe's early game is a bit of a mess balance-wise, and has very little guidence.

Make use of nightwave for some useful Aura mods, and you can get some weapon/warframe slots for ranking it up. Any challenges that aren't completed by the end of the week just get banked and become available again once you've completed some of your current week's challenges. The weekly challenges never really expire until the end of the current nightwave cycle which tends to go on for quite a while. You can purchase Orokin Reactors/Catalysts from nightwave to increase your warframe/weapon mod capacity to 60 (for a rank 30 warframe/weapon). I don't think I would really want to use many of them on a base warframe/weapon, you're better off using them on a Prime instead/or if there's a base warframe/weapon you tend to use often. Once you progress further into the game, you usually have more Reactors/Catalysts than you can use.
Forma is the other way to fit more mods into your warframe/weapons, a little build restricting because they need to match the polarity to reduce the mod cost (or penalty if it's a different symbol), but that's where the min-max fun is if you're into making builds.

If any build guides suggest "Galvanized Mods" or weapon arcanes, then you're looking at a guide aimed more for very late game. Modding generally follows the same pattern for all weapons, Base Damage, Crit Chance, Crit Damage, Multishot, Element, Optional/QOL.

For a primary weapon you want:
Serration, Point Strike, Vital Sense, Split Chamber and your other mod slots are for an elemental combo/option mods (reload speed, fire rate, etc). You might have noticed a planet will suggest an element type like Viral, you would go into the mod screen for your weapon and type in "Viral" into the search box and it will filter mods that can be used to make that element.
Secondary Weapons: Hornet Strike, Pistol Gambit, Target Cracker, Barrel Diffusion, element and optional mods. Melee: Stance Mod, Pressure Point, Organ Shatter, True Steel, element and if your melee weapon is slow then you will want a mod like Fury on to increase the attack speed, otherwise this mod falls under the optional category. If you have the Skijati, that weapon comes with the Sacrificial versions of point strike/organ shatter along with the polarities to use those mods, so use those instead of their base versions.

One last thing is if you haven't joined a syndicate yet, pick one and rank it up. Either pick New Loka, Perin Sequence and Red Veil OR Cephalon Suda, Arbiters of Hexis and Steel Meridian. Someone probably can probably do a better explanation on how these syndicates work than I have time to write right now/there should be existing guides which should be able to explain how they work in a much less confusing way than I would explain it.

Nothing too interesting as these are all older kuva weapons. They might be helpful for anyone that wants a weapon for valence fusion, or just wants the mastery fodder.

Not entirely sure what the current state of cross platform trading is like, I'm playing on PC. Not sure how likely it will be that I'm on at the same time, but you can also try messaging me in game IGN: IDystopiaI. Double check any trades to make sure you're getting the correct Kuva Weapon, I don't want to accidently make someone go through hunting a lich for a weapon they never wanted.

Similar format to Warframe's Dev Shorts, just some insight into what's currently going on in preludes. Not sure how frequently they're planning on making these, but probably less frequent than Dev Shorts. (The 4 just refers to the current version of preludes, not that there have been 4 of these filmed previously.)

0:40 - Things coming to Preludes 4
2:25 - Another armor set being added
2:55 - Idols
3:55 - Teasing WIP enemies and working on enemy diversity

7:59 - Movement/parkour system?
10:05 - Fashion/customization
11:39 - How much are the devs lurking in chat to collect feedback?

The game is currently in pre-alpha so things mentioned might not be present in the final game or be very different in their final state.

2000 invites typically go out every Wednesday by email if you've registered your Envoy Title. People have mentioned that the email has sometimes been sent to spam, so it might be worth checking there occasionally.

The Synth Scanner has always been like that. What you need to do to fix the particle trails is swap to a gun and aim down sights, then pull out the Synth Scanner again and the trails should update.

So it seems that people participating in the Soulframe preludes testing is able to share screenshots. I'll try to keep anything posted as generic and non-spoilery as possible, and provide clear descriptions of what the screenshot will contain. (generic landscapes, no UI, npcs or anything shown beyond the demo shown at Tennocon.)

For anyone that does want to see more, there is a preludes-screenshot channel on the official Soulframe Discord.
*Does contain some mild spoilers (Equipment/NPCs/Areas not shown off in the demo)

This is a bit of a test post to make sure embedded images are hidden correctly, and I'll change to links only if anyone notices spoilers not hiding images correctly.

Also, just a warning that some future posts may contain mild spoilers (i.e. weapons/armor not shown in the Tennocon demo but have been posted in the public discord). Posts will have a clear description highlighting the possible spoiler so that you can choose to view an image or avoid it.

Currently only screenshots and discussions can be shared.

I'm just glad that my kavat should stop roasting itself alive when it wanders into one of those burst pipes on Jupiter. I think they still need an AI rework before its worth considering putting attack mods on them though.

They're finally releasing Warframe ~~y~~2~~k~~.

It's pretty amazing how much the art has improved over the lifespan of the game, even the Ruins in the section with the Murmurs looks very detailed compared to the more recent tileset reworks like the Corpus Ships.

Some of the frames you listed suffer from usability issues, and others are overspecialized making them difficult to use in other content, while others like Wisp can cover a large range of content easily, meaning its stats are both inflated because it is multi-purpose and people are lazy and don't want to change their loadout for every mission.

Wisp for example can pretty much do everything, Support, Increase teams dps, CC through Shock Motes (try not to use shock motes if you don't need them, they tend to be overkill most of the time in lower level defense missions, can interfere with certain warframe abilities that require damage from enemies, and may even alert enemies in spy), Breach Surge's blind and Rad Procs. Breach Surge kind of turns single target damage into a pseudo-aoe, and has a multiplier applied to the damage that spawned the spark. She's also a great warframe for spy missions because of her passive, ability to blind and her 2 can bypass lasers and be teleported to.

Compare Trinity to Wisp, and you can see the issues with overspecializing in support. If you want to kill anything with Trinity, it has to be done with your weapons, and your abilities don't really contribute much in these circumstances. Some of the abilities are also fairly redundant, like Well of Life and Blessing. (She has some augments that are pretty good though, like Abating Link, and a build that only focuses on Vampire Leech for single target damage.) The problem with Trinity though is that most other frames are already self-sufficient, and the ones that weren't before can patch that up with shield gating/helminth abilities. At this point Trinity is mostly only good for keeping an objective alive in sorties, and even then, a dead enemy is usually better than trying to heal an objective. (most objectives have a cap on how much they can be healed, Blessing caps at 500hp over 5s, which really isn't a lot compared to the amount of damage enemies do to it).

Banshee has been a glass cannon for a very long time, which is probably the reason for her low usage; but with the helminth, you can fix that issue pretty easily. https://dormi.zone/post/46868 Banshee still kind of has a reputation for being too squishy for content, but it's actually able to handle most content, and even excels in missions where you need very high damage like Demolition, where her 1 (with an augment) can fully strip armor from a Demolyst, and even push it away from the conduit you're trying to defend. Her 2 is very fast to cast and will mark weak points on the Demolysts making them extremely easy to kill. Most other frames can only briefly CC the Demolysts, and I think they will gain resistance to CC over time, just like Sisters/Liches.

Then there are the frames that have usability issues like Yareli and Zephyr. A lot of what people dislike about Yareli is related to K-Drive. If you want Nezha Survivability on Yareli, you have to play K-Drive you're limited to only using your pistol, your character model is too tall to fit through some doorways/loose all momentum every time you go through one and your camera can clip tends to jump to a "better" position every time to go past a low ceiling which can be very jarring. It doesn't have the best controls either, and a lot of navigating through tilesets requires good mobility. There's other issues where rewards can bug if you use the K-drive in a mission apparently (not sure how common this is, or if it's still an issue (the most recent ticket I can find is from July).

Zephyr is just awkward to control if you aren't used to low gravity, and requires an augment if you want to disable that passive so if someone builds Zephyr before they have access to that augment, they may have hated how controlling Zephyr and never bothered to try it again. (I think Zephyr's Tailwind was better pre-rework, now I'm constantly stopping short when I was trying to skim along the ground)

Other factors can be as simple as people only copying what is Meta at the time, or just listening to community comments without trying something for themselves first. The randomized loadouts in the Duviri kind of revealed how little players drift away from Meta/what they're already comfortable with. When Styanax released, there were lots of comments saying that he couldn't survive because he couldn't shield gate. Meanwhile, I had a half formed Styanax being treated as a punching bag in steel path without any real issues. I continued playing that way until around 45min in until one of the Acolytes decided that it wanted to keep teleporting me away from life support. (was bored and wanted to see how far I could take this, and if multiple Acolyte spawns could overlap)

*Someone may also perceive their own support buffs as potentially harmful to their team in certain content. If you know most of the player's you're matching with are going to be using Phenmor/Felarx/Laetum for certain content, do you really want to use Harrow to buff your squad's Crit Chance?

[-] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

It did not the last time I tried (a couple of seasons ago). There's also no solo extract so if you're trying to get something from rotation C, and your squad wants to leave early, you will be forced to extract along with them.

[-] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

The New War was fine as a story mission, and they don't require someone to play the mission again and again to get anything else out of it. If someone wants to play it again for the story, they can, but nobody is missing out on not playing the quest weekly.

Khal Missions on the other hand are very repetitive, especially with Kahl's clunky movement and some buggy side objectives that don't spawn correctly. I found I was often backtracking to the very start of a mission trying to find the the last passcode in a mission just to find out it never generated in the first place. If I wanted to finish this challenge, I would have to play through the entire mission a second time just the 6 tokens the side objective rewarded. There was an update which was supposed to overpopulate the map with surplus items to complete the side objectives in one run but that update seems bugged/reverted and we're back to Kahl missions spawning just enough or fewer than what you need to complete these objectives. These are mostly issues for anyone that wanted to complete everything for the bonus rewards, and less of an issue for anyone that was only focused on the main objective.
In short, Khal missions were too slow, repetitive and often encountered bugs making them less enjoyable while requiring a lot of investment time wise and little progress made in return.

Crudely spliced video with timestamps showing approximately how long it takes each Prism and Scaffold to break the Teralyst's shields twice because an Amp Arcane Adapter is one of the drops this week.
Table of amp components For anyone new to amps, the first number refers to the Prism, second number is the Scaffold, and the third number is the Brace.

The video is mostly for showing the fire modes of each amp component for anyone that might be considering building a new one, and to roughly show how much damage newer players can expect from them. I'll probably make a second video showing how each prism/scaffold performs with a more maxed out setup for anyone that may find it useful. (still only against the Teralyst so might not be the most useful video)
