Sorry, could be more clear. They will be true floating shelves, but have not yet been delivered to their new home.

QUESTION: Does a table top really Need biscuits/dominoes/dowels, or is glue enough? in c/[email protected]

To echo what the others here have said, long grain to long grain glue is very strong. Dowels/biscuits/dominoes are helpful for alignment, but for a table top it won't do much to increase strength.
