Well it has to show new posts and give them a chance to be voted on, so maybe it's fine?

The default browser on most Android smartphones will raise its minimum OS requirement to Android 8.0 with the Chrome 120 release in early 2024.

The minimum version for Google Calendar for Android is also now Android 8.0

Scaled: Like hot, but gives a boost to less active communities

submitting issues to their Github is definitely the preferred way and you can put thumbs up reactions to vote for them

otherwise [email protected] seems to be the place

I think scaled sort and instance blocking are the biggest new features, lots of little tweaks and bug fixes too

Yeah I guess it probably strips unknown data segments from the file for security and privacy, and it would have a whitelist of segment types it will keep

And of course the ability to display them with ultra HDR

and we have a community! [email protected]

I would cross post this back, except the soundtrack for T7G VR was JUST released so that post is on top right now (also LGR is a bit negative about this game lol)

it's really good! not as difficult as the originals, but there are a good number of puzzles to make up for it

The GitHub issue is here, you could put a thumbs up reaction on it, and also subscribe to the issue to get updates about it

Yeah you can redirect or you can make lemmy.[something] and forum.[something] point towards the same ip or same port depending on how youve set it up

I was wondering more how it would be handled with federation, and what my configs should look like, and if I need to make any changes in the DB

We've got a lot of exciting stuff coming up in v2.5.1 so we wanted to give a preview. I figure we'll probably be releasing this in a week or 2. In a few days I'll be giving out the beta version in our Discord (Discord users seem to be the only ones who report bugs lol).

If you missed our previous announcement, with v2.5 and the annual recap, check it out here.

  • Augmented Enemies thanks to Silverstrings:
    • For increased challenge, rare enemies with special abilities. See the Wiki for more details
    • (These screenshots were taken using the help of Serious Sam mode)

  • Walton Ware mode: a game mode focused on quickly doing bingos and New Game+
    • Each round can be beaten in around 10 minutes or even less!
    • In order to make Walton Ware possible, we added these new options which it enables by default:
      • Random starting map
      • Bingo win at 1 line
      • Bingo Scale of 0% so all bingo goals are reduced to their lowest amount
      • Bingo Duration of 1 mission so it only selects events that can be done right away
      • 5 free spaces on the bingo board
    • We're also now over 200 bingo events!
    • This is what a Walton Ware bingo board looks like
    • See the wiki for our full list of game modes.
  • New Speedrun mode: speedrun with fewer resets while still being able to enjoy higher difficulties.
    • Reduces randomization range for skill costs and strengths
    • Uses the same doors rules as Normal difficulty
  • Crowd Control online and simulated together for the average streamer that doesn't have many viewers
  • Fixes to various mirrored maps
  • Steam Deck fixes
  • Autofill passwords even in Zero Rando mode, great for Steam Deck players!
  • We now prevent using lockpicks/multitools on doors/keypads you have the key/code for, great for people who don't read!

Update 07:45 UTC: We've heard from workers at EVGA Spain "it's just another day at the office". So maybe it was only Kingpin/the OC team in TW that has resigned, or the whole story is completely untrue.

Update 16:41 UTC: We just received the following statement from EVGA: We saw those message and they are rumors. Our Taiwan office is still operating and Kingpin is still with EVGA. EVGA is still doing business and supporting its customers. Thanks for reaching out

UPDATE: seems like this has been fixed with the update to 0.18.1 https://programming.dev/instances

I can see their posts so I know they aren't actually banned

https://programming.dev/instances

looks like maybe they had their domain name set with the https:// in it and that was breaking stuff? has this been fixed in the Lemmy code yet? we shouldn't have to manually ban invalid domain names
