I remember e-mail providers having low storage, maybe 1MB max and getting e-mails frequently deleted by said providers after not logging in after a certain time.

Using MSN and yahoo chat rooms were a fun way to meet people. I remember there being rooms on Yahoo (were they called conferences?) just for people to have singing sessions.

Locally, almost everyone with a computer and dialup had MSN messenger installed, so plenty chatting with classmates after school on there.

I vaguely remember being subscribed to yahoo groups for fan and local interests. They were a good way to be kept informed.

Surfing the web was fun. I never knew what I would find next.

Oh and Neopets.

I don't have any favourite but I like avocados, bananas, sugar apples and cantaloupes.

I can understand this. I get weird looks and teased for declining drinks or admitting that alcohol taste bad to me - I can't tolerate it, it's bad for a medical condition of mine and I'm not going to pretend to be someone I'm not just to fit in (the compromise is me getting a soft drink or water while the others drink what they want).

On the other had, I've had drunk family friends that were a pain to deal with, been cursed at by a drunken villager one time and had our property littered with beer bottles and other trash when they've been parties in our area.

Down pack instead of down pat. I got it all down pack.

For sure! The same can probably be said for science teachers too.

Exponentiation. I don't think it was ever really explained before, instead it was treated like something I should've known.

One day I watched a YouTube video that made the world of difference, then I got it.

Ereaders. They're light, have adjustable font size, can hold an extensive catalogue of books and have less distractions, in comparison to using a tablet with an ereader app on it.

Moreover, they allow me to escape international shipping fees which have really risen over the years.

On the other hand, nothing compares to the smell of a book and the sensation of holding one in your hand. I wish I could had hardcopies of some my ebooks for times when I want to get away from tech.

I can't imagine browsing the web without Firefox!

When having a conversation someone, try paying attention to the other person's body language, tone and the way things are said.

You can pick up a lot of things that way, possibly mood and others.
