I still have and use all my old Craftsman tools from the 90s. One of my 1/4 ratchets broke and since it's a made in the USA tool, I figured I would look for parts online and try to repair it. Unfortunately the parts cost more than the wrench on ebay, so I decided to take it to Lowes (who now distributes Craftsman tools) to see if they would honor the lifetime warranty. They had no qualms about honoring the warranty and replaced it with the current model, knowing full well the tool was 30 years old. The new ratchet is more ergonomic, has a finer tooth count and not nearly as sloppy as the old one. So shout out to Stanley and Lowes for doing the right thing.

Oh no, my bones!
My cousin's wife was an ER nurse for 19 years and quit her job back in 2022 after dealing with the covid patients that "knew better" for 2 and a half years. This attitude seems to still be prevelant in a certain subset of people. They know they need help but they've been indoctrinated into believing things that are not in their best interests. I'm sure tiktok told him he could cure his diabetes with microgreens or some shit and his "research" tops all of the medical and nursing degrees in your building.
Just booted mine up and you're correct about the size of Mint Mate. It's about 14Gb. I don't remeber what OS was 4Gb.
Also for extra security I added 2FA to my sign in. Anytime I enter a login password I need to get a code from the authenticator app on my phone.
I have a similar set up (with a 32gb built in SSD). I use it when traveling. In my experience running an OS off of an SD kills the card in about a year and it dies without warning. Make sure you don't save anything important on there without a back up.
Love what you've done here and can't wait to see more of your projects.
Mint Mate will run like fire on that little guy. Plus a full install is less than 4Gb. Using the built in SSD with full disk encryption would give you a really secure laptop, especially since the SSD is not removable.
This is my strategy too, except I make new playlists every January and seperate the songs by year. So I have 2017, 2018, 2019, etc playlists of songs that came out that year. Then I go through the songs from that year and add the absolute bangers to an ultimate playlist. I also never unlike a song.
That last cold front was a bitch. It was 12F (-11C) when I left the house today, yesterday the high was 32F (0C) and tomorrow it's going to be 72F (22C)
No precipitation to speak of so it wasn't that bad. Nothing really closed down and the roads were good. Supposed to be 72 degrees (22c) tomorrow, thank fuck.
Someone gave me a Dewalt tool set when I did a favor for them. Both Dewalt and Craftsman are owned by Stanley and the Dewalt tools are identical to the new Craftsman.
Also I had 1 small piece break in that Dewalt set and Dewalt replaced it with a whole new set of tools, so now I have 2.
