The announcement for the yearly (plus post-PT) B&R updates only mentioned paper formats but it seems like as good a time as any to update the arena-only formats too.

@mike
You can get to the pro tour by
Winning a Regional Championship Qualifier at a local game store (or being runner-up in a two-slot RCQ)
then doing well at the Regional Championship (the number of PT invites varies from region to region)
I'm sure there's a path to the PT on MTGO and maybe even MTGA too.
Removing blocks started the golden age of draft IMO.
Sorry I didn't mean to @ you, fedilab is weird with Lemmy.
@andrew
I immensely dislike WotC's focus on commander over all other formats. EDH is not interesting to me anymore, every set has new staple or busted commander to chase.
Additionally the color pie is slowly being eroded for the sake of the only format with the "color identity" restriction. All the other formats now need to live in a world where any color can get any effect.
Fortunately limited is still good most of the time, except when they print sets that cost $75 to draft once.
This really feels like a set for no one. My store didn't even offer drafts.
