There are 2 types of ice cream:

Real ice cream, made with nothing more than milk, cream, sugar, and flavoring (vanilla, chocolate, whatever)

And bullshit ice cream that starts with a custard (aka Philly Style).

Real ice cream freezes hard, Philly style always stays softer.

Then there's "overrun" which is a measure of how much air is trapped in the ice cream. Cheaper brands have higher overrun rates, and it makes ice cream softer.

It's so little per serving they're permitted to not list it.

It's like 0 calories - they're permitted to say that when it's below a certain level, per serving that (I think) it's in the error range of measurement.

Maybe since I grew up in blue collar world he always struck me as trying too hard. Then again, my peers and older siblings seemed to like him. Hard to explain, I guess.

Oh, yea, you can pull all sorts of stuff from OBDII, because it's a standard.

Even then the different manufacturers like to hide data by using the custom fields of OBDII. Frankly I'm impressed that many readers today can get those custom fields (see things like the Torque app, and Bluedriver OBDII reader).

I think the more challenging part would be any controls in the head unit. I have one car that uses the head unit to control heat/AC. Figuring that out would be a bitch (though possibly not that bad, I'd have to simply look at the actual components, like the vent door solenoids and the heater control valve).

It would be a lot of work, and I'd worry about hitting a real roadblock.

Ah, OK. You're not using it for it's intended purpose as constructed.

Now I get it. Good luck with the project!

Thanks.

They meant 20:00, which is how time is written.

Makes a lot more sense now.

Still, that's how I grew up, in a swampy area no less. Yea, it can suck.

Ah, thank you. Without a unit reference I had no idea what 20 was.

Electrolytes.

Drinking straight water you'll continue to lose electrolytes. From mountain biking and hiking, I've learned to drink a very dilute Gatorade mix solves the electrolyte loss.

Wear a hat (long sleeves and long pants, of a light, breathable material). There's a reason Sombreros come from Mexico, and why western hats have a large brim and are made from straw.

Chart

Or math you can do in your head:

F=((C*2) - 10%) + 32

C=((F/2)+10%) - 32

The actual formulas are 9/5C+32 and 5/9F-32. By using *2 and /2, then adjusting by 10%, it's easier to do in your head and is close enough at human temps.

Electrolytes are crucial. I use a dilute Gatorade mix. Gets enough salts back in.

I find wearing long pants and long sleeves keeps me cooler by keeping the sun off.

Wait, you're dying at 68F? That's like perfect weather.

Or are you saying it's 68F now, and will get to 86F?

That's warm, but not the end of the world. Typical summer temp growing up, and in a swamp.

Just don't use it! 😁

Speed shifting ftw!
