Guess his definition of healthy varies from mine.
Setting up NAS? Anything over USB is going to be slower than LAN, isn't it (which is still your bottleneck anyway)?
If diesel, there's some bacteria or fungus that grows in diesel fuel, they sell Diesel Bug treatment for it.
And not being an ass to be people whom you're asking for help is usually recommended.
