And the old saying "three people can keep a secret, if 2 are dead" comes to mind. The number of people who would know, just in astronauts, tells me someone would've squealed.

There was a movie in the 1980's that used this premise, but the astronauts weren't supposed to know (I think), or were only told pretty late. Capricorn One (with OJ Simpson if memory serves). Not a great movie, hell, not even good, just an interesting concept.

What a crock.

I get the reasoning, but there's gotta be a better way to manage stale apps.

I have a number of apps that aren't on Play and work fine, I just save the apk or back it up with Swift or Neo Backup.

Wasn't 2001 also made at that time? As I recall, that was incredibly realistic (mostly), far more so than a cheap TV show

(Not saying that 2001 is proof, just that ToS isn't a great comparison)

Yea, headline writers are often... Casual.

It should be something like "Beer-can art" with it without the quotes (I'm not sure, really).

Can't wait to see this asshat in jail.

And then for his victims to sue the shit out if him.

Fuck this guy, he deserves everything coming to him.

Well, that's me then.

Never know when I'm going to need it, and it's usually doing some kind of work overnight (processing media files, syncing files around, etc).

I schedule that stuff for when I should be asleep - less heat in the house during the day, it's off-peak power (doesn't make a noticeable difference to my bill, but why not).

If i need it, I can pause those things.

But I also have a NAS that can do this stuff, but it can only do so much at once.

Oh, damn. And by the time they got pulled out, enough concrete had cured on the car to need:

Rims

Rotors/drums

Pads/shoes

Perhaps ball joints/suspension components.

Expensive lesson.

The documentation on Github is just awful, generally.

Pretty clear maintainer are devs, with zero tech writing background (which is fine, in business devs rely on tech writers).

My favorite is how many repos barely describe what something does.

Doesn't "idiot's" in this example show possession?

And the "Johnson's" is a plural?

Or do I misunderstand what ~~you're trying to say~~ saying?

You can have your bank mail a paper check, I've been doing this since the 90's.

If they can do an electronic transfer, they will, after the initial check.

This used to be called Electronic Bill Pay. It's amazing how many people are unaware of it. It just uses the exact same system they're already using to transfer the funds, it's just done under your direction.

Only among Minecraft players.

For example, I have no idea what you're referring to, and no one in my family (ranging from 5 years old to 80) does either

"Go lick a cactus"

Hahaha, I'll take that, thank you... What a great retort!
