I absolutely love my adaptive cruise control, I use it all the time. I have a hybrid and it does a much better job of keeping the engine from kicking in than I do. Thankfully with Honda I can use it everywhere not just highways. It's been my absolute favorite "new" thing to have in a car!

It's all Democrats in office. They're a bunch of high road cowards that will ride the high road right off a cliff just so they can smell their own farts and exclaim how virtuous they are for not having taken extreme measures to protect us.

"Preventing this scenario requires Republicans to act in good faith and certify the results of elections that go against their guy."

Thats a name I could do without hearing ever again. One of the main proponents of the "my way or go fuck yourself" politics that we are now stuck with...

And where's the $10 decillion lawsuit against Faux News for the decades and decades of that bullshit?

Dipshit Donnie forget about the recent Brett interview where he literally did that?

I know it's just projection aimed to put the opposition into the childish "no you!" argument... God I hate these people

Same here, I feel your pain...

The best I could hope for is possibly teaching English in another country, but I don't know the exact requirements for that.

If we filled that with groceries at these prices they'd bankrupt even Bezos lol

"The lead is larger than the one Hillary Clinton had over Donald Trump in the 2016 election..."

Don't invoke her name! Don't put that juju on us! She had a supposed 95% chance to win and look what happened lol

I definitely envy your optimism though, I'm in the exact opposite camp. I believe Trump has this hands down even without the fuckery. Polling that has weights for shitty partisan pollsters still show Trump leading everywhere that matters and polling always underestimates him. :(

Hey Lemmy! Time to do some digging!

I was sent a link from a friend about some Totally Cool™ guy who has close ties to JD Vance: Curtis Yarvin. Anyone aware of this guy and his desires? I won't put the link in here as my last post was removed because of it, but a comment within the thread is copied below.

Apparently Japanese media covered the story as was posted to Reddit, but there doesn't seem to be too much talk of this in the US.

From a comment in the reddit discussion: “Curtis Yarvin is a far-right ‘intellectual’ that wants to end democracy and install what I can only really describe as cyberpunk feudalism. He’s suggested turning the United States into a patchwork of corporate fiefdoms ruled with absolute impunity by CEOs, as well as putting mandatory ankle monitors on all unemployed and poor people. This sounds like a joke, but I’m serious. JD Vance is not just a fan of him intellectually, but also a personal friend. As someone who has known about Yarvin for several years, it’s been really concerning seeing how he could potentially become a Rasputin-like figure in the event of a Trump victory. Beyond this, Yarvin has also spent many years advocating for what sounds eerily like Project 2025.”

For those familiar with Star Citizen lore, he apparently wants to turn the US into the Stanton system “lol” …
