It was the last game I pre-ordered and I think the last EA game I bought (outside of some retro titles).

I don't really get hyped for games, Simcity 2012 was an exception. And then I played and it was clear they were deceptive in their marketing and management had no clue what they were dealing with.

Yeah, that's Simcity 2000. On some level, both Simcity 3000 and Simcity 4 were an evolution of Simcity 2000.

The graphics from Simcity 4 (even Simcity 3000) hold up very well today.

I think it's the mixture of a high quality creative direction and immense detail.

That was very specific. :)

FWIW, it seems better than most first person UE5 "retail property X simulator" games that are so common today.

Haven't tried the demo, but it looks very promising.

An abandoned medical research facility as a setting for a survival horror game, who could have thought?

Or you could play a game that's not exclusively built around currently OP cash shop items (that get nerfed after the refund period is over).

Bt this point, it is reasonable to assume that Star Citizen is a self-enrichment scheme for the founder's, Chris Roberts, family.

I have a feeling this is going to impact total COD revenues, but I could be wrong.

Unless this is part of their enshittification strategy where they will massively raise prices and make franchises Game Pass exclusive once they get a large enough foothold in the market.

Last week Snapdragon claimed that Windows games "just work" on its latest ARM chip, the Snapdragon X Elite. At the time we said we'd believe it when we see it. Well, now we're seeing it. A small glimpse of it, anyways

So are we seeing it or are we seeing a small glimpse of it?

What does this even mean?

My country is being invaded by the russians for 10 years now, the vast majority of them are genocidal imperialists. Why should I care about them?
