I haven’t looked into this any further but I’ll try to investigate sometime and see if bot posts on Lemmy communities in general do not federate with Kbin at this time, or if this is an issue with this community specifically.

I agree with you that it’s frustrating and I’m hoping this is something we can eventually fix. It makes sense to keep them tagged as bot posts on Lemmy - better to look for more of a long term solution.

First of all, wanted to thank you so much for all you’ve done so far to build and support this community! I’m looking forward to watching the community continue to grow, and all your posting is appreciated in bringing more activity here.

A comment I had is that for the past month, I as a Kbin user haven’t been able to see the game threads posted by the bot :(. I’m not sure if there was a recent change to the bot that’s causing the automated threads to not federate, or if this is a Kbin specific issue. I checked and the last game thread available on Kbin was on July 26. Meanwhile I’ve been able to view all the user-created threads since then. I’m curious if people from Lemmy servers other than Lemmy.ca are having the same issue?

Really hoping that this trade is just to get more infield depth and have a safety net but we’ll have to wait and see when they release more info on Bo.

I won't be in town this weekend but I was curious to see what resale tickets were going for since Ohtani and the Angels are visiting. I was surprised to see that the cheapest pair of tickets for Friday's game on Stubhub and Seatgeek were $200!

I'm assuming that this is due to the following:

  1. Ohtani is the confirmed starting pitcher for the Angels
  2. This is the last series that the Angels and Ohtani (assuming he isn't traded to a team that the Jays play at home later) will be in Toronto
  3. There's a giveaway promo that day
  4. It's a weekend game as opposed to a weekday
  5. Both teams are competitive and are in the Wild Card race

Surely this must be up there as one of the most expensive regular season games ever to attend? At least ignoring late September games where a postseason berth is on the line.

I do! I use the NetNewsWire app on iOS to read through my feeds. It’s also available on macOS.
