thanks for the response! that's kinda what i thought as well. luckily most of that wouldn't effect me since i'd have to have a decent paying job to even get into the country, and i'm thinking of moving to the north coast which is both fairly cool climate wise and lower COL than the big cities (from what i can tell anyway)

on the other hand i also don't want to be the only person who's doing well in a country that's overall miserable

on the third hand most of what you said (high unemployment and COL, low salary, too hot) applies to pretty much every country in the world now, so i guess my real question should be, how much more or less fucked is spain than the country i currently live in (amerikkka)?

i'm still on the road actually 😎 just posting more than usual bc i'm on a boat with nothing better to do. but in glad someone remembered me, thank you for asking!

the trips been amazing so far. it's opened my eyes to so much about the world, both in terms of culture and in terms of global north-south relations. still got six months left!

i've been to: mexico (goated country, i'm tryna move there), costa rica, colombia, ecuador (including the galapagos), perú, chile (including easter island), uruguay (dogshit), and argentina. spain, italy, france, cyprus and turkey are still to come, as well as probably some time somewhere in the balkans

was discussing this with a friend of mine (she's an anarchist but she actually organizes and shit). she was saying there can be no such thing as revolutionary masculinity because the two things are contradictory. but i'm a marxist so contradictions really butter my bread.

i think in a utopian, communist world gender identity would be completely different, to the point where it might not even be legible to us today, but my question is more about how we get from here to there. basically, can we men find a way to not be shitheads in such a way as to bring about communism, or does that not even make sense

recently newpipe has started automatically pausing itself as soon as i watch about 80 seconds of a video. then when i un-pause it, it automatically skips to the next video. very, very irritating. so my questions are:

  1. is there a fix for this?

  2. if not, what's the move to replace newpipe?
