Still a lot of unfinished styling/animations, and several apps can't yet utilize the OSK, but so far I'm liking this GNOME far better than vanilla on the PT2. Installed on Danctnix via gnome-mobile-shell from the AUR.

Is that Discord in the toolbar? I couldn't get Discord working on my Pinephone Pro without using Waydroid which didn't work great and drained the battery pretty quickly. That was on Phosh though, I tried GNOME Mobile a while ago and liked it better but it was buggy at that time, I hope it becomes usable soon.

yes, in the dock is armcord-bin, but gtkcord4 works better if you want to be able to use the gnome mobile osk.

I've heard you might get banned if you use third party clients, is that still an issue?

No idea, honestly. I don’t do anything crazy and most of the servers I’m on are tiny, so if it is true I may just be flying under the radar and going unnoticed.

I tried using the web app after arm-cord didn’t call on the osk, but it didn’t want to let me navigate outside of my friends list, so that’s on them in my book lol

Edit: looks like the possibility of banning is still in the TOS. Hopefully if they choose to aggressively enforce this we’ll get a working Linux client option first.

It looks elegant, except those huge fonts.

It definitely could use some refinement for tablet sized screens. I’m just excited this built and runs. I’m hopeful for its updates

I was actually surprised by the whole thing. Never seen before a Pinetab. Totally agree with you.
