My people! Glad to see my namesake community. Kidding, I will post my lighterpack eventually but with wife my priorities have changed. Tried to show her the UL ways but she requires a number of backcountry comforts.

wow great name πŸ‘‘ with that name it feels like you really should have a lighterpack locked and loaded 😜 i too am working on a kit for trips with my partner, i've been thinking an MLD Duomid might be in our future (i like a tarp for solo trips)

Hey! Already got some hikes in this season and more planned (Intermountain West USA). I also created the community [email protected] if anyone wants to check it out.

Right now I'm working on my towel situation. Testing out various fabrics for a better, lighter, faster drying towel then my current microsuede one from a few years ago.

hello and welcome! the best map I've seen so far of the Intermountain West was from Peakbagger, which range do you call home?

Hello! Not ultralight, but working my weight down a little at a time. I’m a petite person, so I don’t really have much of a choice haha. I like to get ideas and tips from the ultralight community from time to time :)

hello and welcome! where was your last trip? anything fun planned?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Thanks! My last trip was near Baker Lake. My next one is going to be near Packwood! I just started backpacking last year, and I’m slowly getting out there.

WA state is beautiful, I've hiked through it on the PCT and would love to go back one day! How was Baker Lake?

It was gorgeous during the day. We were right by the lake and got some great views. At night, we had a sudden thunderstorm pass through (with tons of rain and lightning ofc). Definitely an experience to remember!
