The first panel should have been the sun, and the last panel could have been the sun again. Thanks for all the low entropy energy rays Sun, very cool of you. All life owes you.

You left out the bit where said people start making up the rules and ask everyone for money. It's essentially extortion, just with a twist.

The people who claim to speak for the people who claimed to come from the sky, claim that the invisible man in the sky needs your money so that they can continue to read a book you already own, out aloud to you.

This is the best summary of the concept of religion I've ever read. I'm definitely stealing this for my non-atheistic friends.

Well, it's a relationship, not a religion. Religion leads to certain death (no eternal life in heaven, because earthly practices are meaningless without true devotion). Going to church doesn't make anyone any better. Though, truly believing in your heart, and living your life as a good person will have you seen as a "child of God." So, your truly believing friends may see this as extremely comical. All of these panels are described in the bible as idolatry. People who practiced such religions were wiped out in the old testament, by God's order (to the Israelites), and doing.

I acknowledge that I am assuming a lot about your friends. For that, I am sorry if this is completely not applicable.

Or you never got indoctrinated and just skip to the last panel

But you have to have faith and live by my organization's rules to live after you die!

Or suffer forever! Give me a friggin break

Only if you fall for the church's religion (terrible lol), instead of a personal, healthy relationship with God. Have faith ;)

So giving yourself a pep talk to an imaginary friend so you feel better and more motivated

This. I have big respect for people who keep their imaginary friends to themselves, unlike using it for coercion and control.
