My friend also took some pictures. None of the ring photos came out as clear as yours, but this one from the beginning looks quite ominous.

Taken with my phone. The sky was overcast. As if smoke was radiating out from the sun.

I had an app that was supposed to make taking pictures easier. But, in the end just my regular camera app did better job at it.

Did you cover your lenses with eclipse sunglasses?

I got the solar snap package. It has a phone camera cover with little velcro thingys to attach it. With a little tape, we got the covers to fit over a couple of point and shoot cameras too. Pretty much anything about 1-1/4" in diameter.
