Of "Avatar: Fire and Ash," the director acknowledges the twists he has planned might make some viewers say, "'Fuck, that's not what I signed up for.'"

But as we know from other franchise films that tried to subvert their mythos a tad, or at least deliver some narrative swerves, as “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” did, fans sometimes don’t want bold swings.

Weird words to describe completely butchering the hero of the previous trilogy.

Avatar 2 was like a 50 minute movie and 2 hours of swimming.

Hello, I greatly enjoyed both movies, got any other original thoughts to share? Got plenty of time until the third movie

I really tried with Avatar, but the CGI is too cartoony, the second one is the worst because they have billy the human boy interacting with these cartoon characters for half the movie which just makes the uncanny valley deeper.

Its not looking unreal that's the problem its how hard it tried to be realistic and still failed.

That actually is a new complaint I've yet to hear. And guess my only response is that I feel sorry you can't get into the films because they are technical achievements and look and aged great in my eyes. The tech they use in these movies are the best in use to combat that and make sure things look as realistic as possible and it is the best that's available for a non animated story taking place in a made up world.

Not honestly!
Flippantly. Facetiously. Disrespectfully.

I'm tired of people shitting on people who like movies they don't.
Criticizing movies is one thing. Criticizing people is another entirely.
Fuck off with your gate keeping asshole shit.

But not the people who enjoy it

The fact that he is 70 and takes 5 years or more to make these. I mean what year did the first one come out? He sure he will live to make all 5 and what will be the end result. I mean I saw first and said not bad. But have not seen nor plan to watch the sequel because I lost interest in waiting for a sequel.

Many won't know.

The first one was dances with wolves in space, but visually beautiful. Second was literally unwatchable for me. I paid to watch it, and had to stop less than 15 minutes in. Just awful.

Haven’t been a fan of what we’ve been offered so far, I say fuck it all up!
