Hi,

I have a few old portable HD (and will have more in the future as I retire HD every 5 years before it has problem) with data that I don't want to throw them away. I plan to keep them in the safe as redundant backups. Like any fireproof safe, the humidity inside is higher than outside. Even though I always put the chemical beats to absorb the moisture, I want to make sure that the HD won't be destroyed by the moisture inside the safe. Can I put each HD into a regular kitchen Ziploc bag to protect it from the moisture? Or would you recommend something better? Ideally I would love to have these HD last as long as possible (just in case if I need them in the future). Please advise. Thanks.
