1. Filehosters

Whenever using DDL for games, the download speed matters and many filehosters limit your download speeds and even have trackers. I made a nice and naughty list for you containing some prominent hosters. If you have an option to use the good ones, use them.

  • Gofile, Buzzheavier, Mediafire, MegaNZ (though you may not like it cause it downloads using browser)
  • MegaDB, Uploadhaven, 1Fichier

2. DDL is safe without VPN, torrents are not

Torrenting + VPN must go together. Bind your VPN to your client of choice. DDLs do not need a VPN to use.

3. Use Internet Archive

There's a very good collection of Linux games, and you can find many things on archive, although use the torrents because their DDL is slow due to server overload (i think).

4. Use a download manager

IDM on Windows can be bypassed and on Linux you can use XDM.
