I have an old Sidewinder X1 V4 that I’m practically not using ever because of my newer and better performing printers. It’s been heavily modified (new board with a version of Marlin from years ago, cloned bmg extruder, and other stuff) so I’m not quite comfortable donating it to a local high school or a friend new to 3D printing cuz of my sketchy work on it (non matching connectors being sorta plugged in bc some guide said to since the pitch was the same). Unfortunately, it seems like some of the X1 mods I used to have saved on Thingiverse were deleted too. Due to it’s unconventional use of 2040 extrusion for the x-axis and ribbon cables, it seems like there’d be quite a bit of work if I wanted to convert it into a recreator to recycle pet bottles. Should I just look to recycle it?
