First time writer, long time loiterer (LMAO)
Does anyone else keep a list of movies they've watched, when they''ve watched them or even rank them in a spreadsheet? I do that, and I have autism, so I don't know if that's why I do it, but I definitely do. I have all of the movies I've seen ranked in a spreadsheet and I track how many movies of each actor/actress, writer, director just to see how many movies of each person that I've seen. I also sort them out by year and genre. I currently have a Google Spreadsheet where I have ranked all 1500+ movies and 250+ TV shows that Ive seen and they are ranked from best to worst. It's something that I've been doing for years and I don't know why it started, but it's been a thing of mine for like 5-6 years. I also have separate sheets for production companies, documentaries, tv show writers, networks, etc.
What this has done for me is let me know essentially whether a movie will be good or not depending on the cast/crew/production companies. Now this isn't a fool proof system or anything like that, however, I like to have an answer to "what is your favorite movie" or "who is your favorite actor".
So, all this to say that I am just wondering if anyone else does this or if I'm just a loser haha. It used to be embarassing to have someone see it or even know about it but at this point, I don't care lol. If you judge me for it, whatever, I'm autistic, I have ADHD and I'm on anti-depressants, not much you can say that I haven't already heard. I do my ratings on IMDB but I"m considering heading to Rotten Tomatoes because I've heard that's a better rating site but not too sure. Can't wait to see what everyone has to say!
