I bought a 12tb drive from ServerPartDeals on a whim to have bulk non-redundant storage and I've run into a bit of a snag. The little NUC board I've been using as my NAS only has 5V on the SATA power cable. This was fine for a basic SSD or 2.5" HDD, but I've discovered 3.5" drives require 12V the hard way.

Yaaaay, learning!

So far in my searching for an external SATA power supply all I've found is cheapo looking stuff from china. Does anyone know of something that could solve this problem that would be reliable for 24/7 power? I hope there is an elegant solution to this as I don't have the desk space to jump a whole ATX PSU.
