I was struggling to get browsers that I installed through flatpak to import bookmarks, etc. from other browsers installed on the same system.

Turned out that I just needed to give the flatpak browser file permissions, I did so by using flatseal (anything to manage flatpak permissions should work), then turned this off again. Hope I help someone who faces the same problem
