VFS lost my passport, I didn't find out until I contacted the actual embassy 2 months later to find out my passport never even made it there. I had been calling VFS every week since the 4 week mark and was always told to be patient and that i has been handed to the embassy for a decision, and when I asked for a confirmation from the embassy they couldn't give me a proper one.

Obviously this has cost a lot of money in forfeited airfare and back and forth travel to the embassy plus having to go through replacing the lost passport.
