Is there any logical reason someone would keep their Bitcoin on an exchange instead of moving it to a cold wallet right away? (zerobytes.monster)

I’ve been thinking about this lately and I’m curious if there’s any valid reason for keeping Bitcoin on an exchange rather than securing it in a cold wallet as soon as possible. I get the usual risks associated with exchanges, but are there any benefits or compelling reasons for someone to leave their Bitcoin on an exchange for a while? Would love to hear different perspectives on this.
