I work at a small company (less than 10 people) and take the role as network administrator becaus i'm the only one really interested in it and we don't want to pay a dedicated sys admin yet. I see myself as amateur so definetly not an expert. I want to create different VLANs so i can controll the access between users and our server which is running Nextcloud and a PiHole. For example i want that a user can see the PiHole as DNS server and i want to give access to the Nextcloud via the direct LAN connecton (for speed) but i don't want the user to have access to other users in the LAN or to the router for example. As far as i understand it, thats what VLANs are for?

Problem is, that your router (TP link Archer A8) seems to not support (dedicated) VLANs. What would be a good solution? I heard good things about Mikrotik and pfSense but am not sure if i want to dig that deep into networking as a self learning amateur. Also i have respect forbthe time invest.
