Back in the day, I used to beg my mom to buy me manga that came with a bonus CD at the back. Why? Not for the manga itself, but for one episode of Naruto. Just one! That RM5 was like gold to me back then.

But imagine this: Naruto has over 200 episodes. If every episode cost RM5, that would’ve drained my mom’s wallet by RM2000! And let’s not even talk about Shippuden or the fillers that still somehow sucked me in.

Now? With just a few clicks, I can download the entire series for free, along with every spinoff, movie, OST, and maybe even a few episodes I accidentally pirated in HD. It’s crazy how things have changed.

I’m not saying it’s the right way (support the creators when you can!), but man, the struggle was real back then. Anyone else have similar memories of jumping through hoops just to enjoy their favorite shows?
