Xfinity has sent a few notifications over the past few days that they’ve “blocked a known malicious IP from accessing” one of my devices. I mostly direct download things and I had started looking into a different site than I usually do for getting stuff—obviously I did something stupid. I’ve since deleted the movie files I got when the warnings started and ran a scan of malwarebytes and nothing malicious came up on my device. Xfinity said they’re blocking it, but what do I need to do to protect/stop this? The malicious IPs are from the US and one was from Bulgaria (idk if that’s relevant). I use this device for Plex—do I need to do something to secure that? Thanks in advance for your advice

Edit to add: this happened on a Mac mini
