I’m just trying to buy my groceries. There is always some new cause the grocery store is asking me to round up for or donate for. The electronic payment machine asks if u would like to donate, and I press “no”. Then the cashier has to ask me again in front of the other customers just to make sure there’s some social pressure. I say “Nope”.
I’m tired of it.
If the grocery store really cared at all, they would lower their prices, pay their employees more, and make the donation themselves. Instead, they try to guilt us into it so they can think they’re doing something positive. “Look how much money we raised.” I’m tired of it.
