About social ecology you may be interested to read some Murray Bookchin, or some kurdish revolutionnaires like Abdullah Ocallan.

In very very short: the idea is the wellbeing of society/individuals is linked to the wellbeing of the environment/ecosystem around: you cannot create good live conditions by industrializing everything like some failed revolutions (USSR/China) have done in the past. Life is diverse and we should embrace it.
